Teignmouth Mens Probus Club’s second meeting September meeting on the 20th, was an outside visit to Torre Abbey House & Gardens. Poor weather didn’t dampen the enjoyment of this stimulating visit culminating with a Devonshire Cream Tea. Well recommended.

For our first October meeting, we were expecting a talk on the ‘Devon Magistrates Part II’ but the speaker  was unable to come and at very short notice, Carol Stephens stepped in to tell us about her amusing nomadic travels with her husband aboard their 62 foot narrowboat named “Liberator” spending several years in early retirement exploring most of the navigable waterways of England & Wales.

 The Vote of Thanks was given by Vice-Chairmen David Kirk.
