All Change at the Top…

Vice-Chairman John Pearce stepped up to the plate being installed by outgoing Chairman Dave Kirk as 2025’s Teignmouth Probus club’s Chairman, at the Club’s AGM on Wednesday 15th January.

Our new Chairman John Pearce, is a retired Fish Fryer late of the Jolly Good Café. John is known for his fund raising for local Alzheimer’s support as a sufferer, particularly an annual charity darts match attracting teams from local businesses.

Other officers appointed were: Keith Underhill as Vice-Chairman (for a second term), Reappointment of  John Polley as Secretary, Les Owen as Treasurer, Chris Inch as Speaker Finder, plus new committee members Steve Shore & Steve Williams.

The members respected the passing of 5 members, Alan Knight, Trevor Babb, John Quick, David Head (former Almoner) and Alick Jones who only joined us in May last, all sadly missed.

2024 was another very successful year, with life story anecdotes from the chair Dave Kirk at each of our 18 interesting speaker meetings, the Christmas Luncheon hosted by Trade Winds, Teignmouth plus an outside visits to Exeter Cathedral from crypt to rooftops.
